Kupe

Kupe: I think that Kupe is brave and smart but selfish. History has told us that Kupe is a brave, clever explorer that sailed all the way across the Pacific Ocean and that was when NZ was discovered.  Kupe might be brave but he is also very SELFISH! This is because he drowned his cousin to try to take his wife when fishing. Then he got his fishing line purposely tangled to try and steal his wife when he should be happy with the one he already has. Next he was sailing in his waka then he had awoken a giant octopus that was sleeping. So he had to fight with it. So he had to throw some potatoes overboard and distracted the octopus. Then he stabbed it in the head and it drowned. This shows that he is a great leader because he was able to protect his people but still didn’t make him a nice person.

Howick Historical village

Hello this is my class and me on Thursday when we visited Howick Historical village. When we were there we did the most AMAZING THINGS from 1850's, like play with some toys made by kids. For example we played with, stilts, ring hoop some wooden sticks that you would toss with to find a couple (Husband or Bride)  and some other cool games. 
We also got to have a tour of the WHOLE VILLAGE!!! (except some private places). Then at the end we had hour drive back to school with room 6 and 7.
